Projects

A mix of hands-on mechanical design, controls, and manufacturing work — from a fully autonomous firefighting quadcopter to production tooling on the factory floor.

BadgerFly — Autonomous Quadcopter & VTOL Drone

Mechanical Lead | UW–Madison Student Club | September 2023 – Present

Lead the mechanical design of a fully autonomous 7 kg quadcopter built to fly above 40 mph, plus controls work on an 8 kg tilt-rotor VTOL drone that took home “Most Precise Payload Drops” at VFS’s 2425 DBVF competition.

Senior Design — Adaptive Tread Tire Test Stand

Lead Designer & Builder | UW–Madison Senior Design | 2025 – 2026

Designed and built a friction dynamometer test stand from the ground up to evaluate a 3D-printed tire that shifts its own tread pattern — from off-road to slick — by changing internal air pressure.

Sub-Zero Group — Test Engineering Co-Op

Test Engineering Co-Op | Fitchburg, WI | January 2025 – August 2025

Designed and built production test equipment for Wolf oven manufacturing, including a $200,000+ automated leak test station and custom seal tooling used daily on the line.

Silgan Containers — Equipment Engineering Internship

Equipment Engineering Intern | Oconomowoc, WI | June 2024 – August 2024

Engineered tooling for a pneumatic punch die press on a steel can production line, cutting prototype lead time from over two weeks down to three days.
